FP Web User Review - User review of fp web's sharepoint service

Pros:

No real pros at this point - mediocre service AT BEST and "we don't give a crap" attitude is what you'll find here.

Cons:

"We don't care but we'll give you lots of lip service and Bull$h!t" is FPweb's motto. We had basic tech support requests open literally for MONTHS. Example - their servers would not index our sites and therefore SharePoint search was disabled.

Other Thoughts:

When Kirk Daus (sp) was at FP - it was the best hosting service in the US. Kirk was certified by Microsoft and knew SP inside and out. He lived ate and breathed SharePoint, which gave me a lot of confidence about FP Web. Well... hHe took a job directly with Microsoft and the service has slowly slid in to the toilet. We had a dedicated virtual server and relied on our SP sites there for our interaction with clients. Thousands of documents meant "SEARCH" was a top priority. Well... gee too bad so sad... we don't know how to set up indexing, so search doesn't work on your server.. but WE PROMISE YOU IT WILL BE FIXED. Six months and a pile of Bull$h!t later... still not fixed... still not indexing... still NO SEARCH. So we use Google to search our SharePoint site.

These guys have the potential to be really good - too bad they squander that potential.
